Getting Ready
Turning the power on/off
Turning the power on

Press and hold F until the incoming
light turns on.
The unlock screen appears after a while.
Tap "
" (▶P. 38) to unlock the screen and display
the Home screen (▶P. 39).
Tap "
"/" " to unlock. Then Camera/Write now
activates.
• The first time the product turns ON, "auかんた
ん設定 (au Easy Setting)" which allows you to
make au ID, Wi-Fi SPOT settings etc. activates.
See Step 2 in "Setting au ID" (▶P. 37) and make
the settings as required.

Also an explanation screen for the Home screen appears, then read
and tap "OK".
◎ While some logos are displayed after the power is on, initial settings for
touch panel are in process. Do not touch the screen. The touch panel may
not work properly.
◎ If missed calls or new arrival mails exist, application icons appear on
the unlock screen. Tap to unlock the screen and then corresponding
application can be activated.
◎ "auかんたん設定 (au Easy Setting)" can be set up later even though
it is
skipped.

Sleep mode
When F is pressed or no operation has been made for a certain
period, the screen turns off temporarily to transition to sleep mode. To
cancel sleep mode, operate the following.

In sleep mode, H / F
The unlock screen appears.
◎ When you display the screen by pressing F in sleep mode, do not touch
the screen. The touch panel may not work properly.
Switching to English display
The first time the product turns ON, "auかんたん設定 (au Easy
Setting)" screen appears. Press C to display the Home screen.
You can change display language.

From the Home screen→[ ]→[設定 (Settings)]

(Language)]→"English"
Alternatively, from the Home screen→M→[システム設定
(System settings)]→[言語と入力 (Language & input)]→[言語
(Language)]→"English" to change the display language.
